7 Entry to Japan

Mt. Fuji

Each course will be completed within 90 days.
When you arrive in Japan, most of the students from the countries which have Visa Exemption Agreements with Japan can usually get permission to stay up to 90 days at the immigration counter, Narita airport by showing the original Letter of Acceptance issued by Nihon University.
For more information about the visa, please contact the Japanese Embassy or the Consulate in your country.

8 Insurance

JLSP partcipants cannot apply for the National Health Insurance Program offered by the local government since your stay is only for 90 days. All the participants should have appropriate insurance plan before their arrival to Japan, to cover diseases and accidents while staying in Japan. Since medical services can be expensive in Japan, if you receive an examination or treatment for an accident or medical emergency, the cost will be fairly high. If you are enrolled in traveler's insurance, it would help lessen your burden of payment. Be sure to read the terms of your traveler's insurance carefully, as there are illnesses (e.g., pre-existing/chronic conditions or dental care) and injuries that may not be covered. We recommend that you have any medical condition treated before you come to Japan to ensure that your study in Japan will go smoothly.
