At the beginning of the 21st century, the world faces many important problems: global environment and energy problems, population and food problems, economic inequalities, etc. In order to solve these problems, the accumulated wisdom of mankind must be used in an efficient way, and this in turn requires scientific and technological creativity based on international understanding and cooperation. At Nihon University’s Graduate School of Science and Technology we have established a research and education environment to cultivate experts who can contribute to the progress and efficient utilization of science and technology with this kind of perspective, and we welcome all kinds of promising individuals including those already professionally active, as well as academically enthusiastic foreign students.
