The goal of the Graduate School of Social and Cultural Studies is to provide the already employed to gain highly specialized knowledge and advance their education. The school applies the best aspects of distance learning, which allows students to access specialized information at any time, from anywhere and at their convenience using information media, such as personal computers and the Internet.

Master’s Program (Two Years)
International Political Science and Economics This specialization aims to educate people with broad perspectives and new international sensibilities. It includes 1) International Macroeconomics, 2) International Management and Development, and 3) Regional and Geographical Studies.

Culture and Communication Studies
In an age of great cultural exchange, this specialization aims to help students develop a deep understanding of the culture of human beings. It includes 1) Harmony and Combination of Cultures, 2) English and American Literature, 3) English Education, 4) Japanese Culture and Literature, and 5) Linguistics.

Human Science
The goal of this specialization is to educate individuals with exceptional potential to understand basic problems of human condition as it is related to education, public institutions, business and other aspects of modern society. It includes 1) Social Philosophy, 2) Psychology, 3) Human and Natural Environment.

Doctoral Program (Three Years)
The Doctoral Program aims to nurture researchers with rich humanity fostering creative and future oriented view by providing highly professional and interdisciplinary education. The school’s Social and Cultural Studies specialization is offered in the three areas: International Political Science and Economics, Culture and Communication Studies, Human Science.
