The Junior College at our Mishima Campus has two departments: the Department of Business and Management Studies, and the Department of Food and Nutrition.

At the Department of Business and Management Studies, we aim to nurture highly adaptable individuals with excellent judgment to meet the increasingly varied, specialized and high-level demands of our times. To enable our students to accurately grasp economic activities both domestically and abroad, our main subjects are economics, commerce, management, accounting, law, and information processing. Our students also learn the general principles of product and service manufacturing and transportation, and to estimate the real condition of and spot problems with industrial structures and company activities. In addition, we offer minute support for TOEIC, TOEFL, and other tests and certifications in business English, accounting, word processing, etc.
The Department of Food and Nutrition trains highly skilled and creative nutritionists with the expertise and broad outlook necessary to meet the world’s population, environment and resource problems, and the increasing amount of information and the aging population issue in our society. In addition to the basics about foodstuffs, nutrition, food preparation, and the human body, our students also acquire practical skills in supervising diets and upon graduation become certified dietitians. Many proceed to become nutrition and hygiene specialists in schools, service centers, hospitals, factories, kindergartens, etc.
We also offer Food Specialist certification, and the opportunity for further education after graduating from the 2 year program.
