Nihon University, which is my alma mater and celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2019, is one of the largest integrated universities in Japan, with a rich history and tradition.

As I will be committed to managing operations as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Nihon University, I believe that fulfilling the happiness and wishes of students is paramount. Together with President Takeo Sakai, I promise to strive for the realization of a “student-first” university.

At the same time, I want to take on a variety of new measures: for example, to create a system to absorb the opinions of the younger generations including students, faculty members and staff, as well as to engage in initiatives with the help of alumni who have always been very supportive of us.

Restarting and developing international exchange programs centered on student exchange, which have stagnated due to the spread of COVID-19, is also one of my roles.

While making the most of my long-cultivated personal connections and interpersonal skills, I will cooperate with students, faculty members and staff to create “New Nihon University”.
